I’m a nostalgic sort. I love second-hand things, and I was noticing some years ago that faux-weathered clothes were getting popular, and thus mass produced. And it struck me as funny that whole rack of shirts might have the same fake stain on it. I wondered if it was possible to add a ‘hand-worn’ or heirloom quality back into these objects. So I made quilts out of new clothing purchased from American Eagle Outfitters, a store which specializes in new “vintage” clothes.
My friends helped me make these quilts. Thanks, Christy, Erica and Kara!
